“Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”

The Veterans Coalition Ministries of Faith invite you and those who you may represent to participate with us in a WORLD DAY OF PRAYER for all Veterans who are serving their respective Nation at this time and for those who have returned from that service.

We are looking for people who will join together on November 15th for a short time to pray about the attached points.  This could be in a small or large group setting, in churches or house meetings but wherever you are on this day, please join us. You could be in an office, cleaning the barracks or shopping, it doesn’t matter – add  your prayers to those from around the world to pray for the men and women who are in a war zone at this time.

The purpose is not for any political agenda. Rather it is to bless and comfort those who are standing in the gap to defend others at the request of our respective Nations.  Remember that while we sleep and eat in comfort, there are those who belong to us who are enduring physical hardships, facing possible death or injury and seeing, hearing and experiencing things that will remain with them forever.

 Please pray for:

Ø    Our Leaders and those in authority who govern our troops.

Ø    Those serving in Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines and Special Forces and all those in support of them.

Ø    Families at home; wives, partners, children, mothers, fathers and siblings.

Ø    Medical teams who initially encounter trauma of battle injuries.

Ø    Chaplains as they minister to those on the front lines.

Ø    Safety in the air for transporting of troops and logistical equipment.

Ø    That our serving personnel will have a heart of integrity, be honourable and trustworthy while they represent our Nations.

Ø    Discernment and wisdom to know what to do in a ‘tricky’ situation.

Ø    Courage to face each day.

Ø    That the injured would receive the best possible medical attention available both in-country and when they return home.

Ø    That returned service persons will receive on-going assistance as their needs arise.

Ø    That families will have on-going assistance in the case of death or injury of a serving person.

Ø    For victory and peace in the purpose of why we are serving on foreign soil.

Ø    For civilians who also experience the pain and suffering of war.

Are you prepared to stand in the ‘gap’ and pray for those who are on the front line? (Ezekial 22;30) We cannot fight, but we can fight to support those who are serving on our behalf. Remember the saying that “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”

 Sincerely and God bless
